Pressure canning hands-on kitchen cooking class

Take the fear out of preserving food with a pressure canner. Enjoy preserved vegetables, soups, stews, and more all year long. Come learn about pressure canning, 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County, 232 Plaza Road, (Hannaford Plaza), Kingston. The group will can stewed tomatoes, step-by-step through each part of the process, and each student will take a jar of stewed tomatoes home.
