Marbletown filmmaker presents immersive film installation and more this weekend

This event in graffiti, spirit animals and adventure will begin at 6:30 p.m. today, Oct. 5, at the Kingston Pop Museum, 672 Broadway, Kingston. “Wastedland 2,” a nomadic site-specific, immersive film installation all centered around the enigmatic work of UFO 907 and thematics from the existential fantasy film by multi-disciplinary Marbletown artist Andrew H. Shirley, will be shown at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Music by DJ Bufflo, Blahsum and Camp Heroes will be at 9 p.m. Doors open at noon the following day, Oct. 6 with Battle of the Artist Barbeque, 2-7 p.m. with a live art competition featuring BoogieREZ, Skatchface, ENZ, Whitney Luedtke and Annabelle Popa. Contest winner will be announced at 6 p.m. Films will also be shown on the hour all day along with music by Ramona Lane & DJ Bufflo. Sunday Oct. 7, noon-5 p.m., artwork from the Art Battle will be on display and films will again be shown on the hour. Admission is to this weekend extravaganza is free with O+ wristband.
