"The Ulster County Press was designed to be a true alternative in the market," said Bill Ostendorf, president of Creative Circle Media, a consulting firm that helped design the paper along with publisher Lori Childers.
"It's not like any other paper published in the region and takes a really unique approach. The staff demanded that we create a paper that respected the time constraints all of us face. The paper is going to help people know what's going on quickly, completely and easily."

The Blue Stone Press is the local newspaper for the hamlets of Stone Ridge, High Falls, Rosendale, Accord, Kerhonkson and Wawarsing.
Blue Stone Press readers are avid supporters of local business!
We often hear that people use the newspaper as a kind of directory to access local businesses. "Three years ago I placed my first ad in the Blue Stone Press where I advertised my services at $15 an hour. Now I charge $75 and frankly I can't keep up. My business never could have grown as it has on word-of-mouth alone," says Alan Silverman, Computing Solutions of Stone Ridge.
The Weekender, Hudson Valley Country Home Journal, published twice a year, is a 84 to 100 page magazine which offers a light and fun look at country living for people thinking of visiting or living in the Hudson Valley.
